The 4th of July holiday is the biggest grilling day of the year. So much so that oftentimes people see it as the perfect opportunity for them to show off their skills at the grill and in the kitchen. For a person who is doing their best to eat healthy, this could mean big trouble.
Trust me, I know about this all-too-well myself. Every Fourth of July weekend, my family and I host our own backyard cookout, but we also visit the homes of other family members and friends to participate in their holiday gatherings. I find myself being tempted to eat the wrong foods or overeat every time. I always feel extremely guilty afterwards.
This year I am taking a different approach to my Fourth of July festivities. I am turning to Amwell for nutrition advice, as well as tips on how to eat healthy during the holiday weekend without putting a damper on the gatherings my family plans to attend.
Amwell is an online service that gives me the ability to connect with an expert nutritionist twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Doctors on Amwell are board certified, with an average of 15 years in practice.
I can access a health professional from anywhere in the world, from my computer, mobile phone, or tablet. The service is a great benefit to me because I can connect with a nutritionist for questions or counseling on holiday eating in a healthier way, including advice on what foods and beverages to select and avoid, calorie count, proper meal balancing, and more in order to stay on course with my personal health goals all summer long.
Not only is Amwell extremely accessible, it is also very affordable. Each consultation is reasonably priced, and the information received is well worth the investment for my health.
Amwell is positioning itself as the “Amazon of health care,” making such great strides in transforming health care that even the Wall Street Journal has taken notice. The publication states that, “Web companies such as American Well (Amwell) are expected to host some 1.2 million such virtual doctor visits this year, up 20% from last year, according to the American Telemedicine Association.”
During the Fourth of July holiday, I always need all of the help that I can get. It is so good to know that I can keep holiday eating on the healthy side with instant access to diet and nutrition help for every family gathering I attend this weekend – and beyond – thanks to Amwell. Now I can rest assured that I can enjoy more than just the fireworks display!
Amwell is available in iTunes and in Google Play, and at their website here. The service is running a limited-time special promotion where they are offering everyone’s first video visit for only $1.00!. To take advantage of the offer, use my special link here and code TELEVISIT2.
