The family and I are always game for something new. With the entire household having a passion for anything and everything with wheels, I am always searching for different activities and events we can attend that everyone will enjoy. Don’t get me wrong: car shows are awesome, but sometimes we have a yearning desire to see something that involves wheels that has more ‘spunk.’ I’m so glad to say that we got that and much more when we attended the Monster Energy Supercross racing event a few weeks ago!

Monster Energy Supercross

Held at St. Louis’s Edward Jones Dome, the 3-hour event came packed with not only the electrifying speed and high-flying action of the motorcycles, but also had a near sold-out family of longtime fans ready for all of the stunts, intensity, and thrills that the racers could dish out.

Since it was our very first time attending the show, we had absolutely no idea what to expect. But once it got started…..well…..Manny’s facial expression below says it all!

The high-energy races kept us on the edge of our seats for the entire time! Even Hubby was blown away by the racers’ impeccable skills (which is impressive coming from a former motorcycle racer)! The course was nothing to be played with: packed with sharp twists and turns, tall hills and super-low valleys, the talented guys showed off their individual racing techniques throughout the show.

Although the professionals were pretty amazing, the highlight of the event was the junior supercross racers, whose average age was only seven years old. Since Manny is currently seven, the Mom in me could not help but to imagine him on one of those little bikes! Albeit a nail-biting experience (every time someone fell, I wanted to rush out on the track), it was still a great delight to see!

I loved the fact that it was not as dusty-filled or as loud as I thought it would be, so it’s safe for all ages. Plus, the announcers and emcees were fun and engaging, too! For us being first-time attendees, their commentary made it really easy to understand what was happening and follow along. They even gave information about the bikers and their racing background, which helped us get into it even more. After the night was over, we all wanted to keep updated on how our favorite racers were doing as they go through the rest of the racing season!

We all had a blast at Monster Energy Supercross racing event! The kids described it as really cool and fun to watch, with lots of great action!

No doubt about it, this one will be added into our annual “must do” event list from here on out!
